McLeod Children's Hospital provides the highest level of pediatric care and technology available in the region. Each year, more than 26,000 children receive care from the Children's Hospital.  Today, nearly 100 beds at McLeod are dedicated to serving the needs of children, including those in the Children's Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, PICU, and Day Hospital.  McLeod Children's Hospital is the Children's Miracle Network Hospital in northeastern South Carolina and southeastern North Carolina.

Each year, McLeod Children's Hospital hosts the Children’s Miracle Network Celebration Broadcast, which celebrates the successes achieved at McLeod Children's Hospital. These victories are made possible by families who give love and hope, McLeod physicians, nurses and ancillary staff who provide excellent care and treatment, and donors at every level who make charity care and vital equipment purchases possible.

Three outstanding 2009 McLeod Miracle Children have been selected to represent the amazing spirit that is so evident in children who overcome physical and emotional challenges -- at times greater than many adults ever face.
