An Evening of Hope Cancer Benefit Dinner 10/23/08 2008 An Evening of Hope Cancer Benefit Dinner Thursday, October 23, 2008 Country Club of SC, Florence SC The funds raised from this event are used to support services of the McLeod Cancer Center for Treatment and Research. This year the proceeds will help purchase a new Super Dimension Bronchus System. This exciting new technology will offer a three- dimensional virtual roadmap of the lungs and allow suspicious areas to be biopsied and treated in their earliest and most treatable stage. McLeod will be the only hospital in the region to provide this important new advancement in the early detection of lung cancer. Dr. William Hazelwood will share information with our guests as to the benefits of the Super Dimension Bronchus System and its importance to early detection of lung cancer. This year’s keynote address will be provided by Dr. N. B. Baroody. Dr. Baroody has been an important part of the McLeod tradition of excellence in healthcare and as a cancer survivor he will share his inspirational message as shown through his award winning photography. Dr. Baroody will also have his new book, In Search of His Image, available for sale as well as many of his prints.
