The Children's Hospital Advisory Team(CHAT) is a group of professionals and volunteers assisting the McLeod Children's Hospital in focusing on family centered care and overseeing/promoting all activities intended to secure philanthropic support of McLeod Children's Hospital.
Role of CHAT:
Oversee and promote all activities and events intended to secure philanthropic support for McLeod Children's Hospital.
Support and strengthen communication and collaboration among patients, family members and hospital staff.
Provide input and feedback regarding the delivery of services for children and their families.
Serve as a resource as requested by hospital administration on developing services, programs, and new patient care areas.
Assist in identifying the needs and priorities of families and patients through teamwork with healthcare professionals and channeling information, needs and concerns to hospital administration and staff.
Develop and enhance access of information, support, and educational resources that help families better advocate and care for their family.
Criteria for Membership:
Must have at least one experience in McLeod Children's Hospital or a passion to make a difference for the families and patients utilizing the facility.
Serve a two year term.
Attend quarterly meetings.
Consult and be a positive influence with the families, hospital staff and Administration.
Participate in hospital events that bring awareness to McLeod Children's Hospital
Demonstrate energy and commitment to help the McLeod Children's Hospital move forward as a leader among Children's Hospitals.
