Starlee B. Alexander - Florence, SC
Mrs. Alexander is an Owner/Agent with State Farm Insurance Company. She has
been a Board Trustee with the McLeod Foundation since 2002. Mrs. Alexander
currently serves as the Secretary of the Board and is on the Executive Committee,
Nominating Committee, Corporate Partners Committee and the Grants Committee.
She enjoys giving her time and talent throughout the community. Mrs. Alexander is
married to Reverend Terry Alexander and they have two children.
J. LaVerne Ard - Pamplico, SC
Mr. Ard is currently a Municipal Judge of Pamplico and retired as General
Manager from Marsh Lumber Company. He joined the McLeod Foundation Board
as a Trustee in 2008 and serves on the Grants Committee and the Corporate Partners
Committee. He enjoys farming with his animals. Mr. Ard is married to Martha Ard and
they have five children.
John D. Bankson - Florence, SC
Mr. Bankson is employed with Wachovia Bank as the Pee Dee Marketing President.
He has been a McLeod Foundation Board Trustee since 2005. Mr. Bankson currently
serves as Treasurer of the Board, and is Chair of the Investment and Finance
Committee. He also serves on the Executive Committee, Corporate Partners Committee
and the Planning Committee. Mr. Bankson is married to Susan Bankson and they have
four children.
Joyce S. Beasley - Hartsville, SC
Joyce Beasley is the Manager of Communication Services and Community Affairs for Sonoco Products Company in Hartsville. She has been a Board of Trustee member with the McLeod Foundation since 1994 and serves on the Foundation's Grant Committee. She is married to Andy they have two children.
Joan S. Billheimer - Florence, SC
Mrs. Billheimer is currently employed with First Reliance Bank as a Community
Development Officer. She has been a Trustee with the McLeod Foundation Board
since 2004. She currently serves on the Nominating Committee, Corporate Partners
Committee and the Grants Committee. Her hobbies include bridge and reading.
Mrs. Billheimer is married to John Billheimer and they have two children.
Susan S. Burley - Florence, SC
Mrs. Burley joined the McLeod Foundation Board as a Trustee in 1996. When
her term expired in 2005, she rolled off of the Board for a year and was
reinstated in 2006. She presently is serving as Chair of the Children’s
Hospital Community Council and also serves on the Grants Committee. Her
hobbies include traveling, reading and yard work. Susan has two dogs.
Timothy E. Cunningham - Florence, SC
Timothy "Tim" Cunningham is a Financial Consultant with AXA Advisors in Florence.
He previously served as a McLeod Foundation Board of Trustees member from 1999 to 2008 and was asked to serve a new term on the board in 2009. He is a member of the Downtown Revitalization Design Committee and the McLeod Foundation's Professional Advisory Committee. In addition to being a Board of Trustees member, he also serves on the Foundation's Grants Committee, the Planned Gifts Development Committee and the Professional Advisory Committee. Tim has three children.
Beverly S. Hazelwood - Florence, SC
Mrs. Hazelwood has been a McLeod Foundation Board Trustee since 1987. She is the past Chairman of the Board and presently serves as Chair of the Nominating
Committee. She also serves on the Executive Committee, Grants Committee,
Children’s Hospital Community Council and the Hospice Advisory Board. Her hobbies
include music and spending time at her mountain cottage with husband and
grandchildren. Mrs. Hazelwood is married to Dr. William Hazelwood and they have
two children.
Evans P. Holland - Florence, SC
Mr. Holland is owner of Pearce Land Company. He has been a McLeod Foundation
Board Trustee since 2005 and currently serves on the Investment and Finance Committee, Corporate Partners Committee, Grants Committee and the Planning
Committee. His hobbies include yard work, pond fishing, hunting and his farm. Mr. Holland is married to Mary Jane Holland and they have three children.
Daniel W. Hyler, MD - Florence, SC
Dr. Hyler is a General Practioner with Family Medicine Associates of Florence.
He joined the McLeod Foundation Board as a Trustee in 2005. His hobbies
include quail hunting, boating and fishing. Dr. Hyler is married to Debbie Hyler
and they have three children.
