McLeod Health is interested in assisting students with attaining their health career goals. We are searching for students who have as a priority among their goals to provide caring, compassionate, and high-quality care to the people they serve.

The purpose of the McLeod scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to students who have been accepted into an approved program of study in an identified healthcare employment area of need. The scholarship is available for tuition in an amount defined in the scholarship that corresponds to the profession.

CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETIST (CRNA)
REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
PHARMACY
PHYSICAL THERAPY
RADIATION THERAPY
RESPIRATORY THERAPY
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY
SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR McLEOD SCHOLARSHIPS

The applicant must be enrolled in, or accepted in, an approved health career scholarship area of need for McLeod at a Technical, Baccalaureate, or Graduate accredited school.

The applicant must maintain at least the minimum program GPA requirements on completed college work and have a goal of providing health-care within the Pee Dee area. A scholarship application including financial aid information must be submitted to McLeod Health Human Resource Services Department.

PROCESS FOR OBTAINING A McLEOD SCHOLARSHIP

1. The applicant must complete and return the scholarship application to the McLeod HR Employee Service Center along with the following information:

A. Official transcript from the current college/technical college they are attending.
B. A personal statement indicating why receiving this scholarship is important to them.
C. Provide proof of acceptance or enrollment in an approved program.
D. Provide three sealed letters of reference. (Do not include clergymen or relatives).

2. The applicant must return all requested information to receive scholarship consideration by the applicable deadline:

June 1 for fall semester
October 1 for winter/spring semester
April 1 for summer semester

3. After all criteria have been met; the scholarship coordinator will contact the applicant to arrange interviews with a McLeod Health representative.
4. The scholarship recipient and the Director of Financial Assistance at the school will be contacted in writing when and if the scholarship is approved.
5. The scholarship recipient is required to submit a current transcript to the McLeod Scholarship Coordinator at the end of each semester.
