Andrea received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Originally from Pembroke, North Carolina, Andrea’s current interests include pediatrics and family medicine with a diabetes focus. Her residency research project will focus on Argatroban anticoagulation dosing, with possible development of a dosing protocol, and she will work on the new national patient safety goal, which encompasses safe use of all anticoagulation. Also, Andrea will work with her co-resident on a longitudinal study to evaluate methods for streamlining the medication delivery system. Upon completion of her pharmacy practice residency, Andrea desires to practice as a clinical pharmacist and serve as a certified diabetes educator and adjunct school of pharmacy faculty member.
Joshua Steelman, B.S., Pharm.D.
Joshua received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Pembroke, N.C., and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wingate University in Wingate, N.C. He is originally from Fayetteville, N.C., and his current areas of interest include infectious disease, critical care, internal medicine, nephrology and pediatrics. Joshua's research projects will focus on developing and implementing a vancomycin dosing protocol for dialysis patients, and working with his co-resident on a longitudinal study to evaluate methods for streamlining the medication delivery system. He will also be participating in the South Carolina College of Pharmacy's Academician Preparation Program.
